Am I the only one who didn't realize rice and beans could be this cheap until I did the math
I spent $2.50 on a bag of dried pinto beans and a 5 lb bag of rice last month and ate dinner for 9 days straight. What else am I missing that's this cheap?
Wait, $2.50 total for both the beans AND the rice? That doesn't add up unless you're talking about a really small bag of beans. I buy the 5 lb rice bag for like $4 alone at Walmart. Still, even at $6 or $7 for the whole thing, nine dinners works out to less than a buck a meal, which is nuts compared to the $12 I was dropping on takeout without even thinking about it.
