Beans are better than I thought for budget meals
I always thought dried beans were a pain until I read the USDA stats last week. A pound of dried beans is like $1.50 and makes 6 servings, cheaper than any canned option. Am I missing something or is everyone just lazy?

Saw a dietician say dried beans have more fiber than canned too.

Actually the fiber difference between dried and canned beans is pretty small. The main thing is that canned beans often have added salt and some B vitamins can leach into the liquid. So if you rinse them well you're basically getting the same fiber, just less sodium.
