Blew my grocery budget by $47 on a Tuesday because I forgot to check the freezer
I got home from Kroger on Tuesday with a full cart and then opened the freezer to put stuff away and found 3 pounds of ground beef I bought two weeks ago. That $47 I spent on stuff I already had really got me thinking about how I plan meals. Now I do a quick freezer check before I even write a list. Does anyone else do a pantry sweep first or is that just me?
Check the fridge too while you're at it. I used to just look at the freezer but found stuff hiding in the back of the fridge all the time, half a bag of spinach, random leftovers I forgot about. How far back do you usually go when you do this sweep? Like just a quick glance or do you actually pull stuff out and make a list?
