Hot take: my $15 immersion blender was a better buy than any fancy kitchen gadget

I use it for soups, sauces, and even to make my own mayo, which saves a ton versus the store stuff. Anyone have other cheap tools that get used every week?

My little hand-crank food chopper is a workhorse. I use it for onions, nuts, and making salsa in about thirty seconds. It cost maybe eight bucks and never needs to be plugged in.

Seriously, what can't those things do? My cheapo rice cooker gets used more than my oven, perfect rice every time and I even steam veggies in it.
