I used to think frozen veggies were a total waste of money
I always bought fresh produce (which, let's be real, goes bad way too fast) and scoffed at the frozen aisle. Then last month, I had a week where I spent like $30 on fresh broccoli, spinach, and bell peppers that all turned into mush by Wednesday. A buddy of mine said, 'Just try the frozen stuff for stir fries, it's cheaper and you don't have to use it right away.' So I grabbed a big bag of mixed frozen veggies for $3.50 at Aldi, and honestly? The texture was fine once I cooked them up in a pan with some soy sauce and garlic. I think I was being stubborn about it being 'low quality' or something. Now I keep a few bags in the freezer for nights when I don't want to run to the store. Has anyone else had a change of heart about frozen stuff for saving money on meals?

Total waste of money" was exactly my old take too until I actually tried cooking frozen broccoli and realized it's fine.

Oh for crying out loud, right? I was exactly the same way - I thought frozen veggies were for people who gave up on life or something. But then I had a bag of frozen spinach that sat in my freezer for six months (which is honestly impressive) and it was still perfectly fine when I finally used it. @blake_smith, you and I must have had the same broccoli epiphany, because I swear my frozen florets taste just as good as fresh ones after a quick roast. Fresh produce is like that friend who promises to show up but flakes every time, you know?
