Update: That long simmer for bean soup is totally worth the wait.

Letting it cook low and slow turns cheap ingredients into something amazing.

How long do you usually let it simmer? That patient cooking really does make all the difference.

A few hours minimum? That's wild, @wendy_bell33. My stove would probably catch fire if I left something that long. Guess I'm just not that patient.
