Can we talk about the time I had to choose between my washi tape collection and my actual journal?

So I was setting up my weekly spread last Sunday and realized I only had room on my desk for ONE thing: either my box of 50 washi tapes or my actual bullet journal. I picked the washi tape because it looked prettier. Then I spent 20 minutes taping everything down but had nowhere to write. Has anyone else gotten distracted by supplies and forgot the actual journaling part?

Oh boy, here we go. You're really making a big deal out of this, huh? Its tape and a notebook. You had a whole 20 minutes to pick one and you still chose wrong. I don't get how this is some deep crisis. Half the time I just grab whatever sticky note is closest and call it a day. You're acting like you had to choose between a kidney and your car keys.

2 decades of stationary shopping and i still get decision paralysis over stuff like this, so i feel you @robin_wright. sometimes the little choices are the hardest ones.
