DAE think monthly spreads are overrated? Finally ditched mine after 3 months

I was super skeptical of just using a daily log like the Ryder Carroll method says, but after trying fancy monthly layouts for a quarter year I realized they were just pretty doodles I never actually referenced. Who else found that going minimal with just dailies and a future log actually works better?

Used to be a monthly spread die-hard, thought I couldn't function without a big calendar view. But then I realized I was spending more time drawing out the boxes than actually writing anything in them. Tried the daily log thing for a week out of frustration and never looked back. The future log handles all the long-term stuff just fine, and my dailies actually get used now. Ever scrap something you swore you needed and find out it wasn't that important?

Wait till you realize you don't even need the future log either. I scrapped monthly spreads a year ago and now I just run a rolling weekly list on sticky notes. End of the week I toss em and start fresh. No drawing, no flipping pages, just the stuff that actually matters right now.

Buddy of mine spent a whole Sunday drawing grids then never wrote in em.
