Finally kept a bullet journal streak past 30 days for the first time

I've tried starting a bullet journal maybe 4 times over the last 2 years and always quit around day 10. But this time I sat down at my kitchen table in Austin and decided to just use a simple monthly log with no fancy spreads. Now I'm at 34 days straight and actually look forward to filling it out each morning. Anyone else have a hard time sticking with it at first?

Oh man, "actually look forward to filling it out" is exactly where I think bullet journals go wrong. That daily pressure of having to write something is why I quit every single time, I'd rather just forget the whole system than have it feel like homework.

A month of daily logs is no joke, that's a real win. The simpler you keep it the easier it is to keep going. Fancy spreads are a trap that burn people out fast. My own thing died at day 12 last year because I tried to use color coding. Keep that monthly log going and don't add anything extra.
