Hit 50 spreads in my bullet journal and the number caught me off guard
I counted back through my journal last week while stuck at the DMV in Austin, and somehow I filled 50 spreads since April without noticing. Does anyone else track page counts, or do you just flip through and hope for the best?
Wait, you mean you've been going since April and only noticed when you actually sat down and counted? That's kind of the whole thing right there, because the journal becomes this living record and you stop seeing the forest for the trees. It makes me wonder if tracking the page count itself would change how you use it, like once you know you're at 50 do you start treating 100 as some kind of goal and rush spreads just to hit it? Half the fun of a bullet journal for me is that it never tells you how much you've done until you look back, so adding a running tally might mess with that. Then again, maybe seeing that 50 would push you to actually finish the half-empty collections you've been ignoring.
