Hit 500 days straight in my journal, did not expect that

I started a daily one-line log back in March just to track sleep, but the habit snowballed and now I'm at 500 days without missing a single entry. It surprised me because I've never stuck with anything that long, not even my gym routine lol. Has anyone else hit a random milestone like this and what did it make you change about your setup?

Is it weird how the smallest things are the ones that actually stick? Like, I notice this with my customers all the time, they'll come in swearing they're gonna walk every day and that lasts a week, but they've been brushing their teeth the same way for thirty years without thinking about it. The trick with your journal seems to be that you made it so small it didn't feel like a chore, and that's the whole secret right there. I bet if you tried to write a full page every night you would've quit by day ten, but one line is basically nothing, so your brain just lets it slide. It's funny how adding less actually gets you more, I see that with people and their dogs too, the ones who train for five minutes a day end up with the best behaved pups. So maybe the real change isn't in your setup but in realizing you don't need a big dramatic system, you just need something dumb and easy that you never have to talk yourself into.
