PSA: wasted $80 on those fancy pre-printed bullet journal stencils...

Bought a set of 5 stencils for my monthly habit tracker and they slid all over the page no matter what tape I used. Now I'm back to drawing lines by hand and wondering if anyone else found a stencil brand that actually stays put?

Honestly, maybe it's the tape that's the issue - painter's tape never worked for me either, but a couple of those little blue sticky tack dots on the back of the stencil change everything. Tbh, the sliding drives me crazy too, but that trick makes most cheap stencils stay put.

The blue tack trick is a lifesaver. I feel you on the sliding thing, it drives me nuts too. I once spent a whole afternoon painting a straight line only to realize the stencil had moved and I painted a wavy mess that looked like a sad snake. Pretty sure that's why my landlord calls me "the creative one" in the building. Have you ever had a stencil completely betray you and slide off the wall mid stroke?
