Rant: My entire monthly log was a mess because I didn't get the 'rapid' part

I was filling out my monthly spread like a daily diary, writing paragraphs for each entry. My friend saw it and said, 'Bro, that's not logging, that's a novel.' I switched to just one-line bullets and it's way faster. How do you keep your monthly logs quick and useful?

Actually find the detailed notes help me later. I write a few key words about my mood or what made a day stand out, not just what I did. It takes an extra minute but makes the whole month easier to remember.

My friend Sam spent 20 minutes detailing his lunch in his log last week. He switched to just writing "met Sarah for tacos" and saved so much time.
