Rant: Spent $60 on a fountain pen and it wrecked my bujo flow

I thought dropping $60 on a fancy fountain pen would make my spreads look amazing. Instead, it bled right through my Leuchtturm pages and smudged every time I closed the notebook. Now I'm stuck with a pen I'm scared to use and a half-ruined monthly log. Has anyone else had a pricey pen totally backfire like this? What cheap pens actually work for you?

Switched to a Pilot G2 and never looked back. What ink do you avoid now?

I heard someone say Noodler's ink is like playing roulette with your notebook and honestly thats dead on. I had a similar issue with a Lamy Safari and some fancy ink, just turned my pages into a mess. Ended up switching to a $3 Zebra Sarasa and it glides way smoother with no bleed through. Sometimes you gotta go back to basics instead of chasing that fancy pen hype.
