Update: I switched from a full daily layout to a rolling weekly and my bujo actually gets used now
For 6 months I did the classic one page per day setup and by Wednesday every single week the pages were blank, so in March I tried a rolling weekly where I just draw one spread and add days as they come. It felt wrong at first, like I was cheating at bullet journaling, because half the Instagram setups I see are these perfect daily grids with 12 trackers. But I've filled 40 days straight now instead of abandoning it by day 3, and my habit tracker for water actually has checkmarks in it. So which side are you on, do dailies keep you honest or do they just make you feel guilty every night?
One thing to clear up first, dailies and a rolling weekly aren't really opposites here. A rolling weekly still gives you a page per day, you just draw the day when you get to it instead of mapping out all 7 in advance. So you didn't give up dailies, you gave up planning them ahead of time, and that's the part that was killing you. Those perfect Instagram grids with 12 trackers are not a system, they're a photo shoot. Nobody posts the week 3 page where half the boxes are empty and the mood tracker says "tired" four days running. If 40 straight days of use is the result, the setup is working, full stop. Guilt was never the point of the method anyway.
