Vent: The week my Bullet Journal betrayed me

I was having a perfect month with my Ryder Carroll style journal until last Tuesday. I spilled coffee right on my weekly spread and it smudged all my trackers for water and sleep. Then on Thursday I realized my long-form daily log accidentally got written over a future log entry for my dentist appointment. By Friday I just threw the whole journal in my drawer and grabbed a cheap spiral notebook. Has anyone else had a week where their system completely fell apart and you had to start fresh?

I taped coffee-stained pages back together once and tried to keep going with a pocket-sized field notes book for a month. Honestly that little reset was what I needed, sometimes a fresh start just works better than forcing it.

You said "that little reset was what I needed" but isn't that just a fancy way of saying you spilled coffee on your notebook and gave up? I mean, was it really that serious where you needed a whole new system just because of some stains? Taping pages back together sounds like a hassle, but then switching to a whole different notebook feels like overkill for a coffee accident. Feels like people make up reasons to buy new notebooks more than anything else.
