Warning: don't trust the first index you find for a new notebook

I was in a Barnes & Noble in Austin last month and heard the clerk tell someone the index in the dotted Leuchtturm1917 was fine for a beginner. I tried copying that setup and by week 3 my migration list was a mess because I couldn't find half my old entries. The 4-page index they ship with is way too small once you add collections and daily logs. Has anyone else had to renumber their index halfway through a year?

Renumbering mid-year sounds like a pain but honestly that's just part of figuring out a new system. Most people I know just start a second index page and move on.
