DAE count how many posts got pulled from one subreddit in 90 days? My number was 1,847
I started keeping a spreadsheet back in January after a comment of mine got removed from a health sub for saying a certain clinic was booked solid. No links, no names, just that. The mod note said it was medical misinformation. Okay fine, whatever. But then I got curious and started logging every removal notice I saw in the daily threads. In 90 days I counted 1,847 deleted comments across four subs I follow, and about 1,100 of them were marked removed with zero reason given. The other 700 had notes, and a big chunk of those just said rule 3 or rule 8 with no detail. Here is the part that got me. I screenshotted 40 of them before they vanished and at least a dozen were totally normal stuff, like a mom asking where to get a second opinion. I am not saying every removal is wrong, some of it is spam and junk. But 1,847 in one quarter? That is not moderation, that is a fire hose. Has anyone else actually tracked this stuff, and did your numbers come out anywhere near this bad?
