Found a weird loophole that got my banned Medium post back up
I got a 3 day ban for calling out a misinformation piece on a political topic (shocking, right?). Then I tried submitting the exact same content but as a 'personal essay' under a different category, and it slipped right through the moderation filter. Has anyone else found a category-based trick like that?

...and my buddy did almost the same thing with a cooking blog he runs. He wrote this rant about how those health influencers push fake nutrition advice, got nuked by the algorithm. He just resubmitted it as a "family recipe story" and changed nothing except the title to "My Grandma's Secret Ingredient: Calling Out BS". Cleaned up with no issues. It's wild how the category filter is basically a robot that can't tell the difference between a recipe and a takedown piece. He said the system probably just checks for certain trigger words instead of actually reading the content.

Brian, that story about your buddy's blog is honestly both hilarious and frustrating at the same time! It really shows how broken these content filters can be when they just look for keywords instead of actually understanding what someone is saying. Your friend basically proved the system is just a robot that can't tell a rant from a recipe, which is wild for something that's supposed to moderate content. That grandma title trick is genius too, because who's gonna argue with a family recipe story? Makes you wonder how much other content gets unfairly flagged or quietly slips through based on a title change. The whole thing feels like a game of cat and mouse where the algorithm just doesn't have the common sense to tell the difference.
