Hit 37 blocked websites in one day and it made me rethink my VPN setup
I keep a log of every site that won't load in my browser. Last Tuesday I hit 37 in a single day. That's more than I'd seen in the whole previous month. Turns out my ISP started rolling out a new filtering system without telling anyone. I switched to a self-hosted VPN on a server in Amsterdam and now I'm down to about 2 or 3 blocks a week. Has anyone else noticed a sudden jump in blocked pages in their area?

37 blocked sites in a day is wild. I'd be curious what filtering system your ISP is using because that's not normal. My own setup went through something similar last year, and switching to Amsterdam fixed it too. Funny how picking a different server basically solves the whole problem.

does anyone else feel like this is just part of a bigger trend where everything online is getting more locked down? like not just vpns but even social media and streaming sites are always tweaking their rules. its kinda exhausting having to figure out what works where.
