Hit 500 deleted posts in a single week last month

I run a small local forum for mechanics and last month I had to delete over 500 posts from a single spam bot campaign in just seven days. That got me thinking about how much content gets scrubbed quietly without anyone noticing. Has anyone else hit a crazy number like that in their own community?

The internet is basically a giant iceberg at this point, you're only seeing the tip and all the garbage is hiding underneath. Every time I scroll through a news site or even a recipe page, I wonder how much of the comment section got nuked before I showed up. It's like the digital version of sweeping dirt under the rug, except the rug is getting pretty lumpy. Makes you think about how much of what we see online is actually just what someone decided we should see.

Hold on, I think you're reading way too much into recipe comments. Like yeah, some stuff gets deleted, but most of it is just people arguing about whether you should use butter or margarine, not some deep conspiracy.
