I had a post about a local protest removed for 'unverified claims' last month
It was a picture of a crowd size from a rally in Portland, which I took myself. The platform said I needed a 'credible news source' to back up my own photo. This happens a lot now, where personal proof isn't enough. It makes me think they just don't want certain images out there. How can you even share a real experience if your own eyes don't count? Has anyone else had a firsthand photo or video taken down for this reason?

My Portland rally photo got through with just a location tag.

lol my buddy posted a pic from a music festival with a cup of coffee in his hand and it got flagged for "suspicious activity." the system is so random sometimes it's almost funny. but like you said, a simple location tag slides right through no problem. i had a photo of a street protest in LA get taken down but the same shot with just the geotag stayed up for weeks. really makes you wonder what the algorithm is actually looking for or if it's just flipping a coin on some days.

That's the kind of thing that makes me check my own posts, @black.amy. I've seen it happen with photos of protests or even just crowded public events. The system seems to flag certain images automatically, but a simple location tag sometimes slips under the radar. It feels like the rules are applied unevenly depending on what the algorithm thinks it's looking at.
