Just realized my local library pulled a book I wrote about after a single complaint in 2022.

The week they removed it felt like a gut punch, but some folks argue it's just good curation, so where do you draw the line between protecting people and silencing ideas?

Real problem" is a slippery slope, one person's problem is another person's important book.

You said "protecting people," and that's the key. Libraries have a duty to keep their limited space for books that serve the whole community, not just one view. A single complaint can highlight a real problem others were too polite to mention.
