My town's library board hid the ban request list for 6 months

Found out last Tuesday that our library board in Dayton quietly sat on 14 book ban requests since March, never mentioning them in any public meeting. I only caught it because a friend works the front desk and saw the pile in a locked drawer. The state open records law here says they have to list every request, but they claimed 'administrative review' as an excuse. When I asked the board president about it, she told me 'we're just being careful about what gets aired.' The most obvious one was a graphic novel about the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist fire, which is literally history, not indecency. Has anyone else had their local library pull this kind of timing game on public records?
