That one time I thought a VPN was overkill and now I can't believe I waited

I used to think people were being paranoid about their ISP tracking everything until I got a letter from my provider last year after downloading a public domain documentary. Has anyone else had a moment where they shrugged off a censorship tool and later felt dumb for it?

Nah I still think most people are fine without it honestly.

Start by asking if you've actually tried going without whatever "it" is for a month straight. Most people say they're fine without things but they've never really tested it. I used to think the same way until I had no choice but to drop it for two weeks. Turned out I was way more dependent than I realized. The little annoyances and bad habits I thought were normal actually went away when I stopped. Maybe you're fine, but I bet a lot of folks just don't know what they're missing.
