That time my local newspaper deleted comments about the school board meeting

I noticed people kept calling it a 'glitch' when certain posts about the bond measure got removed from the Sun-Gazette's comment section last Tuesday. But I checked back 4 times and the only ones gone were critical of the superintendent's new salary. Has anyone else seen this selective deletion pattern in their local papers?

And you know what's really interesting? I went through the whole comment thread myself and noticed the same thing. The posts questioning where that salary increase came from just vanished into thin air, but people talking about the new playground equipment stayed up. It's like they're not even trying to hide it anymore. Makes you wonder if the paper is just doing whatever the school board tells them at this point. Have you reached out to the editor about it? I'm curious what excuse they'd come up with.
