The stat that made me second guess my whole town's news diet
Last month I found a Pew Research report saying 54% of adults in my county, near Dayton, Ohio, get their local news mainly from Facebook groups. I was expecting something like 20%, so that number hit me hard. I ended up checking the group my street uses and saw three posts with zero sources get shared over 200 times each. Has anyone else seen a number like this that made you rethink how much real reporting your neighbors actually see?

My neighbor shared a fake tornado warning from that same kinda group three times last week.
