TIL my old habit of just sharing news links without context got me flagged repeatedly

I used to copy-paste URLs from foreign media outlets into a local discussion group, thinking the facts spoke for themselves. After the third warning in two months, I realized they were using an automated filter that flagged any link to certain domains. Has anyone else had to change how they share information just to keep a group alive?

Honestly I think you're kind of overreacting. Those filters exist for a reason, probably to keep bots and spam out. Maybe try just writing a sentence or two about the article before dropping the link, that's what I do and it works fine.
