Tired of people calling any moderation 'censorship'
Last week on a local Facebook group, a guy got his post removed for threatening a city council member. He screamed censorship. That's not censorship, that's consequences. I've seen real censorship in Iran - friends who can't post anything critical without getting arrested. There's a difference between platform rules and government control. This community should know better than to blur that line, right?

You mentioned the guy who threatened a city council member and called it censorship. That part stuck with me because I think people forget that free speech doesn't mean free of consequences from other people or from private platforms. Real censorship is when the government shuts you down, not when Facebook or a local group enforces their own rules. I grew up in a small town where people would say all kinds of nasty things in public, but they also faced real social blowback if they crossed a line - that's just how communities work. What we have here is a confusion between having the right to say something and being protected from any response to it.

Isn't that the truth, I had a neighbor call the cops on me for filming a town meeting and they actually sided with me.
