Current ripped my drysuit at 60 feet off Louisiana coast
I was doing a pipeline inspection in the Gulf near Grand Isle last month. About 20 minutes into the dive I felt this cold rush down my left arm. Looked down and saw a 3 inch tear in my drysuit right at the elbow seam. Current had pinned me against a piece of wreckage and I didnt even feel it happen. My first thought was to abort but I was only 40 feet from the pipeline flange I needed to photograph. I signaled my tender and finished the job quick while water kept flooding in. By the time I surfaced I was soaked from neck to hip. Took me 2 hours to dry out all my base layers back on the boat. Anyone else had a suit blow out mid-dive and had to make the call on whether to finish or surface?

Damn @troy_wilson8 is right but holy crap that's insane. Dude had water rushing in and just kept going for the flange like it was nothing. That's some next level commitment right there.

40 feet from the flange after that happens... man... I woulda been heading up right then and there. You got some serious nerve finishing that job with water pouring in.
