Dive log software beat my paper system after one month in the Gulf

I used to keep everything in a wet notebook, dates, depths, gas mixes, all handwritten. Last month I started using a cheap tablet with a log app before heading out of Venice, Louisiana, and it cuts my paperwork time in half. Plus I can see my deco history at a glance, which is huge when the tender needs numbers fast. Anyone else dump paper for digital logs, or is it just me?

Wondering if you’re still backing up your data somewhere, or if you trust the tablet alone? I’ve seen too many guys lose everything when a battery dies or a screen cracks right before a trip. Also, how do you handle the old paper logs for dives before the app, do you scan them in or just leave them as history? That gap between paper and digital would drive me nuts if I couldn’t see the whole picture at once.
