Shoutout to the dive off the Corpus Christi pipeline job where the visibility was 6 inches and the tender wanted to keep going
Was on a shallow line down near Corpus about 2 weeks back and the silt was so thick I could not see my own glove in front of my face. Half the crew said you shut it down and eat the day rate, other half said you finish the tie in because the barge is on a clock and the client does not care about 6 inch viz. I get both sides but 6 inches is where I draw it, I have seen a guy lose his hose in mud that thick before. Where do you all cut it off, is it depth, is it current, or is it just whatever the supe is yelling that morning?
