Showerthought: My $70 drysuit zipper repair saved me a whole lot more
Had a zipper blow out on a dive off Port Arthur last fall, and the guy charged me 70 bucks to replace it. That little fix kept me from having to drop two grand on a new suit, and I've gotten another 40 dives out of it since then. Any of you ever priced out a zipper repair and found it was worth it?

Two years ago I would've just bought a new suit without even thinking about a repair, but your math is hard to argue with. 70 bucks for 40 extra dives is a crazy good deal.

The "40 extra dives for 70 bucks" really puts it in perspective. I get why you'd have just bought a new one before, but that's a tough savings to ignore.
