Why does nobody talk about how much harder hard hat diving is than using a full face mask?
Switched from a Kirby Morgan to a hard hat on a bridge job in Charleston last week and my neck is still sore from the weight after 3 days, anyone else notice the difference?

That "no joke" part really got me thinking. Are you talking about the physical weight itself or all the mental load that comes with it?

The whole "neck sore" thing is legit, man. I remember my first week on a hard hat and I couldn't turn my head to check traffic for three days. Kinda like that time @brookerobinson told me he got his arm stuck in a pipe fitting and had to wait for the tide to change before he could pull it out. Not the same situation but the same kind of dumb stubbornness where you just deal with the pain because the alternative is admitting you made a bad call. That bridge job must have been a beast, Charleston water is dark and murky too, not the kind of place you wanna be fumbling with gear.
