I finally blew up at the parts network over their false stock alerts.

The online system shows parts as available. But when you order, they're backordered. Happened twice this month with turbochargers. I lost a big client because of the delay. The phone support just gives you the runaround. Check with local suppliers first. Don't trust the database.

Honestly I've had the opposite experience lately. Their online stock has been spot on for me, maybe it's a regional thing. I mean calling the local branch just gets you someone reading from the same system anyway. The real issue is people ordering the wrong part number then blaming the network. I've seen that happen a lot. Their phone support actually fixed a mix-up for me last week once I gave them the exact error code. Maybe the system just needs the right input to work right.

Found that bypassing the online system and calling the local branch works better.

Yeah the "calling the local branch" thing is totally key. I've started asking for a direct line or extension to a specific person there once I get through. Saves so much time looping through automated menus later. Their direct voicemail is way better than the general queue that never calls back lol. It's wild how much the main customer service number feels designed to waste your day.
