Yeah, heard a mechanic say scanners miss the simple stuff sometimes.

Totally, @jesse_wright30! Mine gave a clean bill of health once but it was just a loose wire the whole time. Why do we even trust those things?

Honestly though, scanners are still a huge help. They read all the computer codes we can't see, catching weird sensor issues or electrical gremlins. A loose wire is one thing, but my scanner found a failing fuel pump circuit my mechanic almost missed. They're just another tool, not a replacement for good troubleshooting.
