The injection shop on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie had a sign on the wall about core charges that made me think
I dropped off a set of 6 injectors at a small shop off Route 9 in Poughkeepsie on Tuesday and the owner had a handwritten sign about core returns taped above the counter. It said cores must come back within 30 days or you eat the charge, no exceptions. I get why shops do that but it made me wonder how many guys here have been burned by a core credit getting denied over something small like a missing box or a bent line. What's your shop's policy on cores and has it ever come back to bite you?
Buddy of mine swapped injectors on his 7.3 and mailed the cores back in a padded envelope like an idiot. One of the tips got bent in shipping and the shop denied the whole credit, said it has to arrive in the factory box or nothing. Cost him almost 400 bucks over a crushed piece of cardboard. Now he keeps every box in his garage like a hoarder lol.
