TIL putting a clear fuel filter on my 7.3 made me think I had a bad lift pump for a week
I swapped in a clear inline filter before the lift pump on my 2000 F-250 because I wanted to watch fuel flow, and for 6 days straight I saw bubbles rolling through it every morning at startup, so I pulled the pump and changed it for nothing. Turned out the bubbles were just air coming out of the return line and the old pump was fine, the clear housing was showing me normal stuff I had no business worrying about. Anyone else ever run a see through filter and end up chasing a problem that wasn't there?
