Tried to save $200 on injectors from eBay and now I'm out 3 days of work
Picked up a set of reman injectors for a 6.0L Powerstroke off eBay for $350. Looked good in the pics, seller had decent feedback. Got them installed Tuesday, truck ran rough immediately. Pulled them and sent them to a local shop to get tested - every single one was out of spec on pop pressure. Couldn't even get a refund cause the seller ghosted. Between the injectors, the gaskets I wasted, and three days of lost shop time I'm probably out close to a grand. Has anyone else had luck with eBay injectors or is it just me?

Have you ever had a set of eBay injectors that actually worked right out of the box? I've seen enough horror stories that I'd rather pay the extra for a known brand, even if it hurts the wallet upfront.

And the funny thing is, even when they do work out of the box, it's a coin flip if they still work a month later. I had a buddy who put a set of those cheap 80lb injectors in his Mustang and they flowed fine for the first two tanks of gas. Then one started leaking and hydraulic locked the cylinder. Bent a rod. Cost him way more than he saved on injectors. I've seen so many people chase that "deal" only to end up buying the right parts anyway after the cheap ones fail. At this point I'd rather pay for one set of Bosch or Siemens and know they'll last 100k miles than gamble on four that might grenade an engine.
