A parking ticket at the old Strathcona farmers market made me check my plates

I was grabbing some vegetables there a few months back, parked on 83rd Avenue. Came back to a $75 ticket because my registration sticker was two days out of date. I argued with the officer that my insurance was paid, but he said the sticker is the law, period. Now I set a phone reminder for the renewal date. Has anyone else had a ticket over something small like that and gotten it reduced?

Yeah, that's a tough one. In my experience, the sticker being out is a hard line for them, even by a day. I got one years ago for the same thing. You can try calling the number on the ticket to ask for a reduction, but they usually only drop it if you get the registration renewed right away and show proof. It's worth a shot, but don't get your hopes up.

Did you also get hit with that late fee when you renewed yours?
