Question about fighting a parking ticket from the City of Edmonton

Saw a guy at the courthouse last week who got $150 knocked off his ticket just by asking for a review, has anyone else here actually had luck disputing one of those camera van tickets?

Oh that's rough, those camera van tickets are the worst. Hearing you got a good chunk knocked off just by asking gives me a little hope though. I've had a couple of those tickets myself and they always seem to show up at the worst times. Good on that guy for pushing back, makes you wonder how many people just pay without even trying. Hope you get a similar result if you decide to go that route.

My buddy actually fought one of those camera van tickets a few years back and got the whole thing thrown out. He wrote in saying the sign was blocked by a tree branch or something, and they just let him off. Pays to question it sometimes, I guess.
