I spent $800 on a fancy CRM and it almost killed my business

I signed up for Salesforce last year because everyone said you need a real CRM to scale. After 3 months of fighting with the setup and paying $800 a month, I realized I had actually lost 2 leads because the system was too complicated. My team hated using it and went back to spreadsheets anyway. I switched to a $20 a month pipeline tool and suddenly everything started moving again. Has anyone else dumped a big expensive system for something simpler and seen better results?

Wait wait wait, I thought everyone was paying like $300 a seat or something crazy like that! @margaretrivera you're telling me it's way less than $800? I swear I've seen people complain about those big price tags on social media before. Maybe they're talking about the enterprise version or some add-on package. Either way, that's a huge difference from what I thought. Makes me wonder how many other people are spreading that same wrong number around.
