PSA: My trip to Japan taught me the hard way about planning
Just got back from Tokyo and my whole plan fell apart on day one. I figured I'd just wing it for my meetings and explore between them. Big mistake. Got completely lost trying to find a potential supplier's office in a back alley, missed the meeting, and wasted half a day. I didn't even have the address saved offline, my phone died, and I don't speak Japanese. It was a total fail. The trip cost me a bunch of money and a key contact. Now I see the same thing happens with my business if I don't plan properly. You can't just hope things work out, you need a real map, or in this case, a solid business plan. Learned that lesson the expensive way, lol.
