Just forked over $800 for a proper accountant to handle my quarterly taxes and it was the best panic purchase ever.

I was drowning in spreadsheets and late fees, but she found a deduction for my home office setup I didn't even know existed, which basically covered her fee. Has anyone else had a service pay for itself immediately like that?

Yeah that "panic purchase" feeling is so real. I once hired a guy to fix my flooded basement and he spotted a wiring issue that would've burned the place down.
