Serious question, has anyone else had a simple LLC filing turn into a multi-month nightmare?

I filed the paperwork in March, but a single clerical error with my registered agent's address in the state database locked everything up until July, costing me a crucial contract.

Honestly, I've always found the filing process pretty straightforward if you go slow. Maybe it's the system you're using? Mine just slides right in, no fight at all. A little organizing up front saves so much hassle later.

Try going slower and making sure the file is lined up perfectly before you push. I had a stubborn drawer once that would jam every time, and it turned out I was forcing things in crooked. If yours is really fighting, check if the tabs are all in the same spot - mismatched tabs can cause that snagging feeling. Also try pushing down on the file as you slide it in, not just shoving from the top. Once I started treating my filing like a puzzle instead of a race, it stopped being a headache altogether.
