That week my robot vacuum ate a sock and died
Last Tuesday my Roomba sucked up a sock from under the couch, jammed the brush, and then the battery died halfway through the living room. Took me an hour to dig the sock out and another 45 minutes to charge it back up. Has anyone else had their vacuum eat something way bigger than it should handle?

My 3-year-old Roborock ate a shoelace last month and it just kept running with a weird clicking sound. It took me maybe 20 minutes to pull it out and the thing worked fine after that. People act like a sock is a death sentence for these vacuums but really it's just a minor setback.

Yeah I actually just saw this review online the other day where a guy said his Roomba ate a charging cable and it got wrapped around the brush real bad. He was worried it was toast too but after cutting the cord out it ran like normal. These things are built tougher than people give them credit for, especially some of the older models. The clicking sound is pretty common with a partial clog, just gotta clear whatever it grabbed. Good to hear yours bounced back so quick though!
