He insisted his cheap Eufy model would be fine on my shag rug after I warned him about it last month, and now I have to admit it actually handled the fibers better than my $600 iRobot ever did and I'm honestly annoyed. Has anyone else had a random budget model outperform their expensive one on specific flooring?
Last Tuesday my Roomba sucked up a sock from under the couch, jammed the brush, and then the battery died halfway through the living room. Took me an hour to dig the sock out and another 45 minutes to charge it back up. Has anyone else had their vacuum eat something way bigger than it should handle?
I'm looking to buy my first robot vacuum, but honestly I'm completely overwhelmed. There are literally hundreds of models now from brands I've never even heard of. Does anyone know a good website or resource that actually compares them objectively? It's so hard to tell what's actually good versus what's just clever marketing.
