Warning: That indie gig in a forgotten bus depot tested my love for small shows
In my experience, driving out to see a band play in an old converted bus station was a bit much. Your mileage may vary, but we had to park in a field and walk past a bunch of confused cows to get there. Take this with a grain of salt, but the sound guy was using a amp stacked on milk crates, which felt very on brand. The music was actually pretty good, but the whole thing was so absurd I just had to laugh. I guess that's the charm of the scene sometimes.
